Check Your Hot Water Temperature
Another good way to save on energy bills is to check the temperature to which your hot water is set. The recommended temperature is 60C degrees for modern homes. Setting it higher than this will waste energy, whereas turning below this number can save on energy and also prevent scalding. For example, while running a bath, turning on the cold water to mix and cool the hot temperature, all this is doing is wasting energy unnecessarily. Adjusting your temperature in the first place to a lower setting, is a more economical choice when it comes to keeping energy costs lower.
